Class Challenges (day 30)
At photography class tonight we spent the time working on white balance, using different light sources, perspective, shooting in complete manual mode, and framing shots. The egg on a white background with a flashlight was a great challenge!

Alex has been saving up his money for a number of months now...waiting to purchase something until he found something he "really wanted." After looking at various things online I took him to the store and he made his first purchase...the lion set for his Imaginext adventures playset. He was so cute pulling out his SpongeBob wallet and handing the sales lady the money for his purchase. I was pretty proud of my little man.

Cast Iron Skillet (day 10)
When we came back home this summer my Grandmother gave me this small cast iron skillet. She wanted me to "get rid" of it. Opa told me this was his favorite little pan. That he liked to scramble up an egg or two in it. I keep it hanging on the wall in my kitchen.

Dinosaur Eggs
We found these funky little dinosaur eggs down at the 7-11 this afternoon. Since I could not read the directions finding out what they do has been quite the experiment!
A few hours after adding the water -- it is starting to hatch!
The dino's head has popped through!
Dino continues to grow and break out of the egg.
Robin's dinosaur is growing nicely!

Knock-knock jokes have been a huge hit lately in this house. So as I sat there this evening trying to figure out what to post as my pic of the day...and what sort of texture I wanted to use knock-knock jokes popped back into my head.
